Lionel Messi (36) and Antonela Roccuzzo (35) have become synonymous with family in recent years. They met in pre-adolescence, but years later their romance began, which was made official in 2010, prior to the world cup in south africa. The couple decided to seal their love story on June 30, 2017 in Rosario, at a super party with 260 guests that took place at the Hotel Casino City Center.

The brand new couple arrived at the altar with a lot of emotion, accompanied by their eldest son –Thiagowho at that time was only four years old-, who was in charge of wearing the gold wedding rings. Cyrustwo years old, was present, but in the care of his uncles. Matthewthe youngest of the Messi clan, was born a year after the marriage.

The couple decided to record this important day forever, showing for the first time the tattoo they got on their ring fingers. The two tattooed the date of their wedding in Roman numerals: XXX VI MMXVII.

As soon as they arrived at the room, the soccer player surprised antonella with a very romantic gift: he had hired Abel Pintos to sing especially to them. The renowned singer, one of Antonela’s favorites, performed the favorite song of roccuzzo: Without beginning or end.

“I didn’t want to tear up, because I knew that if I did, my whole family would break. next door was
my mother, and my son Thiago in the bank. But I couldn’t contain myself. I never imagined that Leo was leaving me!

The exclusive guests of the big party

Obviously, the mega event revolutionized the city: it is estimated that almost 20 private planes arrived at the Rosario airport. They gave the “present” Shakira and Gerard Piqué, neymar, Luis Suarez and Sofia BalviEvangelina Anderson with her husband, Martín Demichelis and Marcelo Tinelli, among other celebrities.

The famous couple was in all the details of the organization: Antonela was in charge of choosing the decoration, the catering, the DJ who made everyone dance, the drinks bar, the sweet table and the souvenirs that were delivered at the end of the celebration . The great room was decorated in white -with centerpieces with roses in the same color- and the elegant antique chandeliers with fringes gave the place a magical touch.

The gastronomic proposal was divided into three steps. As a starter, cheeses, cold cuts and marinades were served. Then followed the hot dishes – Sorrentinos, vegetarian and meat casseroles – and, finally, sushi.

The party lasted until dawn. Between each dance segment, it was possible to enjoy live music with two shows that stood out: the Rombai group and an exclusive recital by Karina The Little Princesswho was dating, at that time, with Sergio “Kun” Aguero.

The bride chose a delicate dress -mermaid model- from the exclusive Spanish firm Rosa Clará. Antonela wore her silhouette with a sweetheart neckline and a princess-cut design, but the most striking thing about the garment was the embroidered back thanks to a craft that, according to GENTE magazine, took 200 hours to make.

She completed her outfit with sandals specially designed by Ricky Sarkany. The unexpected detail? The couple’s names were engraved on the soles of the sophisticated shoes. The other day after the wedding it was a detail that was not left out of mention.
