In 1998, 25 years ago, Disney launched great films that marked milestones in its history and became great classics. Among them were ‘Mulan’, ‘Bichos’, ‘The Lion King 2’ and ‘Game of Twins’.

Without a doubt, it was a great year for the company, but not only in cinematic terms. Disney launched its theme park that same year. ‘Animal Kingdom’, located in the state of Florida, in the United States; a space in which emphasis is placed on the importance of nature, hand in hand with the magic of movies.

In this context, the workers of the place buried a time capsule so that it would be uncovered on the 25th anniversary of the park, which was celebrated on April 22. What they found in it shocked the onlookers.

As a Disney Tik Tok video shows, inside the container were two floppy disks, which have files and photos of the park inside.

Three VHS cassettes with orientation videos for the first employees of the park. In turn, Gino’s first toothbrush, the silverback gorilla who celebrated his 42nd birthday in December 2022 and is still in the park.

On the other hand, the capsule contained the first elements that were part of the theme park merchandise. Among them, key rings, cups and magnets. Likewise, the original maps and a shirt signed by all the workers in 1998.

How much does it cost to enter ‘Animal Kingdom’?

As reported by Disney on its official theme parks page, the standard ticket for Saturday May 20, the closest bridge in Colombia, costs $164 for people over 10 years of age. For children from three to nine years old, it costs $159.

It is important to note that these prices do not include Florida taxes.
