- 1/4 cup chopped fresh oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (15-ounce) can tomato paste
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 hoagie roll, toasted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, pork, and veal. Add the onion, garlic, bread crumbs, egg, Parmesan cheese, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs. Place the meatballs in a single layer in a baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, combine the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and tomato paste. Mix well.
- Pour the tomato sauce over the meatballs. Bake for 1 hour, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
