The candidate for mayor of San Isidro, Macarena Possesupervised the final stage of the works on the new Almirante Brown underpass, in the center of the city. “The policy of this municipality has always been to remove barriers to build underpasses. This means saving lives and solving traffic problems.taking into account that the vehicle fleet continues to grow”, dimensioned the current councilor. In turn, she added that “We are proud to be the district with the most tunnels in the Province of Buenos Aires. Less and less to inaugurate the next one”.

Currently, work is concentrated on the tunnel excavation, wall construction and storm drains. The work is a project developed by the Municipality and financed by the Ministry of Public Works of the Nation. It will be an exclusive tunnel for light traffic, one-way traffic, and will be 2.30 meters high. This road infrastructure work will expedite the vehicular circulation that comes from Avenida Del Libertador towards Centenario.

On the other hand, the pedestrian crossing will also benefit thanks to this project. beyond guarantee a safer alternative to crossing, contemplates sidewalks two meters wide on each side of Almirante Brown street; as well as a series of descents in side streets for people with reduced mobility and baby carriages.
