Bizarrap (24) made his first three own shows in Argentina and they were a complete success. The tickets sold out in a matter of hours and it was one of the most talked about musical events of the last time. So much so that Shakira (44) decided to congratulate the young Argentine with a post on her Instagram account before her 80 million followers.
The singer was moved to see how thousands of people danced, sang and jumped to the rhythm of Session 53 that they performed together. “This is crazy. Congratulations, I’m very happy for you,” the Colombian dedicated to him.
“How I love you Shak! Thank you very much, what a genius you are. I hope it is the first of several…”, was the young music producer’s response to the Colombian. This message left the door open for future hits together.
The post quickly received thousands of comments and likes. “A complete stadium singing to the aforementioned”, wrote a user referring to Gerard Piqué. Others assured that they were very anxious for the next collaboration of this explosive duo.
Guinness Record confirmed that Shakira and Bizarrap’s hit broke the world record
Shakira and Bizarrap made history with their BZRP Music Session #53 which topped the charts like no other song has done before. The 24-year-old Colombian singer and Argentine DJ and producer, whose real name is Gonzalo Julian Condethey have a lot to celebrate after not only getting a No. 1 together, but also four titles Guinness World Records.
The music session was released on YouTube on January 12 and quickly made its mark on history. The song set the record for the most viewed Latin track on YouTube in 24 hours with 63,000,000 and later became the fastest Latin track to reach 100 million views on YouTube.
His success wasn’t exclusive to YouTube though, as he also held the record for the most streamed Latin track on Spotify in 24 hours with 14,393,342 streams from fans. By the end of the first week, that number had grown to 80,646,962, also making the song the most streamed Latin song on Spotify in a week.
Bizarrap is the first artist from Argentina to peak at No. 1 on the combined global music charts, a feat that TWICE has now accomplished in just seven months. He spent two months at No. 1 with “Quevedo: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52” and has returned to the top spot with the record “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53.”
For her part, the “Hips Don’t Lie” hitmaker also scored the most No. 1s on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart by a female artist thanks to her new song. This theme became her 12th No. 1 on the list. She also became the first female artist to replace herself at number 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart when “BZRP Music Sessions Vol. 53” dethroned “Monotonía,” her duet with Ozuna.
