Joe Rogan is an American comedian, podcaster, and former mixed martial artist and television host. He is best known for hosting the UFC color commentary team, and for his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience.

Early life

Rogan was born in Newark, New Jersey, on August 11, 1967. His father was a police officer and his mother was a social worker. Rogan has stated that he had a difficult childhood, and that he was often bullied and picked on.

Martial arts

Rogan began training in martial arts at the age of 14. He initially studied judo and karate, but later switched to Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Rogan won several amateur tournaments, and in 1994, he won the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight Championship.

Television

Rogan began his television career in 1995, when he joined the UFC as a color commentator. He has since become one of the most recognizable voices in the sport of mixed martial arts.

In addition to his work with the UFC, Rogan has also hosted several other television shows, including Fear Factor and The Man Show.

Podcast

In 2009, Rogan launched his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. The podcast has become one of the most popular podcasts in the world, and has featured guests such as Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Kanye West.

Personal life

Rogan is married to Jessica Ditzel, and they have three children. Rogan is a practicing Catholic.
