VANCOUVER, B.C.: OCT. 19, 2022 – Smoky skies and poor air quality are expected over Metro Vancouver on Wednesday and Thursday. An air-quality advisory remains in effect for the region due to high concentrations of particulate matter mostly due to wildfires burning near Chilliwack, Hope, Harrison Lake, and in Washington State. Environment Canada’s air quality health index has Metro Vancouver at an eight on Wednesday and Thursday — a high-risk rating. The hazy conditions are expected to stay put until Friday, when rain could help cleanse the smoke away.
