María Becerra and Emilia Mernes will be recognized for their work in music in the first edition of Billboard Latina Women in Musicwhich will take place this Sunday in the city of Miami, Florida, and where Shakira will be distinguished as Woman of the Year.
This two-hour-long awards ceremony will celebrate women artists, executives, and creatives from Latin America who are proactively working for positive change, inclusion, and gender parity in the music industry.

In this first installment, Shakira will be honored with the award for Woman of the Year 2023 while Emilia Mernes will receive the prize Rising Artist and Maria Becerra will be honored as visionary.
On the other hand, Evaluna Montaner will receive the prize Tradition and Future; and Thalia will receive the Powerful Globalamong many other great stars that will be honored in a legendary and unprecedented night for music.
The broadcast will be this Sunday May 7 at 10 p.m. on Telemundo Internacional and the ceremony will be conducted by the reggaeton artist Ivy Queen and the actress and presenter Jacqueline bracamontes.
