His mother named Mali, called his relatives to inform them of his death, which they thought was due to his battle with liver cancer.

With that being the case, ‘The Mirror’ reports Mali said: “My daughter was being treated for cancer in hospital, but the doctors told us she only had a slim chance of survival.”

Following the Buddhist tradition, the family proceeded with an immediate cremation and quickly prepared for the funeral. They purchased a coffin and coordinated the ceremonies with the temple staff.

The van carrying Chataporn’s body was diverted from his home to the Wat Sri Phadung Pattana temple, where the body would be cremated overnight. However, the passengers were shocked when the woman who was apparently ‘dead’ suddenly woke up and opened her eyes.

Though bewildered by her daughter’s miraculous rebirth, Mali once again called out to the family, but this time it was to joyfully share the good news of what had happened.

Chataporn was rushed to Ban Dung Crown Prince Hospitalwhere she came under medical supervision, accompanied by her daughter.

Relatives said they were confused by the incident, but believe Chataporn held up “because he wanted to see his children before he died.”
